1.
Nascent 22:02
Nascent - 'Blank Canvas' Born a blank canvas Until the paintbrush touches down Molded by surroundings Commotion all around Mortality begins to start As we take the lovers leap Guided unconsciously By the secrets our minds keep Infancy and innocence Together hand in hand Childhood observations An endless wonderland Slowly we realize All is not so sweet And as we see through this disguise Our fantasies retreat Nascent - 'Guidestones' Exposing all our fears As we age through the years Without a sleight of sight Who's to say whats wrong or right? What guidestones can we follow In this world in which we wallow? A former absence of clarity Denies our future posterity How will we know the way If the truth is not relayed? If we're lying to each other How can we serve one another? An act of moral turpitude Met with sympathy and gratitude Yet our present lies in sorrow As our future fades tomorrow Nascent - 'Lost Time' On a small and shrinking scale Fitted down to size We realize all our fears And all our dreams have been capsized Nothing's made to last The old just slips away Into our own dismay Discontent with our decision Amongst our every day vision We can question what we've lost And what we've gained, at a cost We must all search the answer Before we're left behind In our own lost time Words are instruments Perceptions of the mind These are mere semantics Linguistics lost in time
2.
Terminus 22:57
Terminus - 'Complacency?' A subtle solitary Within a silent vessel Secluded in your mind These thoughts are where you nestle With not much to remember But not much to forget Your memories lay empty Amongst your silhouette Avoiding all regrets Beside your fragile mindset A welcome vacancy Latent with the void of Complete complacency Accepting the conditions An after thought presents The visions you rely on No longer your defense Dropping the false pretense A single moment of clarity To define a conscious mind A viewpoint left unrefined Infancies of our own Collective memories A destination left unrefined Terminus - 'Monologue' When will you find the time to be free? When will you find the time? When can you say you know your life starts? Lost in this paradigm In solace, you've kept the views of yourself Locked up inside a box There is no point in going forward Lost in this paradox Do you know where your life is going? Steering clear on this path Are you content with your life choices? Facing the aftermath Coasting slightly upon the axis Where does this moment turn? If all that you know is vacant reason How will you ever learn? Is there no point in going forward? Is there no worthwhile outcome? You're questioning the very answer You're trying your hardest to escape from Terminus - 'Mortal Coil' The clock is always ticking The pendulum always swings As old as we are young A lesson learned in any tongue And when we reach that age We craft the final lyric Prepare our mind and soul As we reach the ultimate goal We ration every breath As conscious entities So afraid to let it go And join the great unkown As we take the lovers leap We pay the cost of life No more do we lament What no one can prevent As we take the sharpest turn And we leave this mortal coil behind We realize all along Life is change Life is change LIFE IS CHANGE!
